Akadak Music Studio Owner Randy Ray Mitchell has a potent combination of musical recording and producing experiences that offer you pro-level capabilities at affordable prices. He has been playing a number of stringed instruments, including guitar and bass, for decades. He began recording digitally with Pro Tools in 1996, and worked in analog for many years before that.
Randy is well-trained in music theory, including composition and arranging, and led full orchestras dating back to his high school years. After school, Randy hit the road playing guitar with bands up and down the state.
As a professional studio musician, Randy Ray has been hired to play in many high end studios across the country where he gleaned experience on the way to developing his unique expertise. And in these creative situations, he has played side by side with such notables as Matt Sorum, Daniel Lanois, Jackie DeShannon, Elvin Bishop, John Waits, and Keb Mo, to name just a few.
He has performed and recorded with Warren Zevon, with whom he won a Grammy, as well as Donna Summer and Billy Bob Thornton. He also toured and recorded with Barry McGuire ("Eve of Destruction") and Billy Davis Jr. (Fifth Dimension), as well as Michael Martin Murphy ("Wildfire", for which he received a gold album).
Randy Ray Mitchell brings not only his decades of professional music experience across a wide spectrum of genres, but the equivalent experience in music recording magic as well. He started his Adadak Music Studio in 1998, and has been improving and enhancing it ever since.
